Coming Soon From Dragon Models - 1/400 C-130H Hercules, 109th Airlift Squadron MN ANG 2008

As a militia air force formation, the Minnesota Air National Guard is an element of the Minnesota National Guard alongside the Minnesota Army National Guard. The Minnesota Air National Guard has two primary units located at Duluth International Airport and at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. The Minnesota Air National Guard has also been active in the Global War on Terror since September 11, 2001.

Interestingly, the 109th Airlift Squadron was actually the first ever Air National Guard unit in the whole of the USA. Members of the former 109th Aeromedical Squadron came up with the idea of putting these particular markings from a Convair C-131 Samaritan air evacuation aircraft onto the C-130. Now Dragon is newly launching this C-130 Hercules model as a commemoration of this remarkable unit of the Air National Guard (ANG).

New Works In Progress From Miniart – Furniture and Barrels/Farm Accessories

Right about now resin manufacturers like Verlinden must be hating Miniart, because up until now if you wanted these sorts of things resin was the only way you could get them ( unless you fancy yourself as a decent miniature cabinetmaker ). Personally I love them more and more every day and can’t wait till they have enough stuff out to literally fit out an entire house. These two 1/35 scale sets, Kit number 35548 – Furniture Set and Kit number 35550 – Wooden Barrels and Village Utensils contains exactly what you see on the coverart, and should be available in the very near future and should be uber-popular with the diorama builders amongst us.

Thompson Vc 3-wheeled Refueller

A complete 1/48th scale resin model kit of the Classic British Thompson 3-wheeled Refueller Mk-Vc by David Jane. Thompson Brothers Ltd started to produce 3-wheeled refuellers for civilian airstrips long before WW-2. The low profile and abiliy to swing the fuel tank under the wings of aircraft allowed the tanker to be positioned close to small aircraft in confined spaces. These were produced in large numbers for the RAF and used on fighter airfields throughout WW-2 and beyond.
